Recent Spirit Animal show at DC9 with Boek & Sandy. Boek's moving to Florida soon. Gonna miss that guy. Friends since, what, 2007? He once drooled on my shoulder on a bus ride to New York. If that's not friendship, then I don't know what is.
Side note, DC9 has some excellent nosh. Burgers are on point (Fried green tomato & Applewood bacon? Please and thank you) and I'm fairly sure shrimp & grits are on the menu. Done deal. Will order always. That, and avocado. Don't even get me started on the things that catch my eye on restaurant menus; I'll be here all night.
