Post my first photo? Get your shit together, Instagram.

Damn, I've taken 1,600 photos? I really am that person. I should come with a disclaimer that says, “hope you like food and vanity license plates.”

vinstagram: amorous wine and artsy coffee

re:collective meeting at Killer E.S.P.: project proposals, savory pie,  and list-writing

Gramma's work. Oh, those artsy Sananikones.

...wait.

aww!

I wonder if anyone noticed that I made a visual reference to Beauty and the Beast at the Lost Rhino beer dinner.

Good morning, and in case I don't see you - good afternoon, good evening, and good night!

Installed re:collective's Artisphere show and filmed our interview for the explanatory documentary.

This Thursday evening is the opening. You should be there, because I will be there.

(and because you love art, and me, awesome digital media interactive art installations, and you want to be around all of these things. See you then, hip cats).

Tae Kwon Do with Chef
I know it says closed, but it looks like it says loser. I laughed about this for an entire block of Duke Street.

Signs, I make them.
Bitters & Boots. (ok, not boots but that had such a nice ring to it)

The lid & straw to my mason jar sippy cup was still on the street the next morning. Picked out the broken glass. Good as new!

The buckles/toggle things on these shoes tend to latch onto each other. The struggle is real, y'all.

this.

One of  my favorite parts of Old Town - the cobblestone stretch of Prince Street on the walk from Society Fair to Virtue.
Baker Nathan making cinnamon marshmallows.

I mean, why wouldn't I photograph a random Stormtrooper at a tattoo convention? Come on.

Killer album cover from when I was digging through the vinyl with Stephanie at Plan 9 in RVA. I love seeing the pure joy on her face as she flips through jazz standard 45s. I also keep buying records when I go with her, and have a nice little collection of Hank Williams and Nat King Cole records. I don't own a record player.

The butterscotch pudding at Society Fair. Took me two hours to eat this jar of pudding. It was that sweet. Crazy delicious, but too much sugar for me to handle on an empty stomach. I was ready to fight crime after each bite.

That's a damn sexy line.
Baby on a beetle. Duh.

Steph gave me homemade butter. That's pure friendship right there, that is.

I've yet to post photos of that day in the park, the day we ate pie and became the von Trapp children.

Side note, I somehow (there's no somehow, I know how, but I had no reason why) changed my default input font to Garamond. So, as I type this, I feel all poetic and shit because there are now serifs when I blog post. Not once I publish, just while I type.

scarves and soup

It's been getting colder and colder. I dislike it. On the upside, I get to wear more scarves and eat soup.

that time Stephanie surprised me with sweet treats

Filipino sweet treats from Sweet City Desserts: ube cupcake, mango cupcake, kalamansi pie, and that passion fruit goat cheese tart that was like the best cheesecake I've ever tasted, and I don't even care for cheesecake most of the time.

My friends are the best.

hey buddies!

I just wanted to pop in and say a quick hello. I've been crazy busy these past few weeks working on my book and sneaking off to the beach and music shows when I can. My new job (oh yeah, I have to tell you about that sometime) starts next month. I might go to New York for a weekend. All the things.

Miss you guys, hope everyone's doing ok. Let's talk soon.

I tried to talk my sister into buying this dress.
No dice, though I did convince her to buy a cute ladies trench coat.
She talked me into buying black flats about five minutes later.
It's a vicious cycle.
